This release is part of a broader launch that includes platforms like PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Netflix. Originally released in 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Red Dead Redemption follows John Marston, a former outlaw compelled by federal agents to hunt down his old gang members. The prequel, Red Dead Redemption 2, launched in 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, further explores Marston’s story. The new mobile versions promise the full single-player experiences with controls optimized for mobile devices and include bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition.
