How Can You Track a Flight on Your iPhone?

iPhone users can easily track flights without needing additional apps, thanks to Apple’s built-in data detectors. These detectors recognize flight numbers in contexts like Messages, allowing users to press and hold the underlined number to view real-time flight progress on a map. Additional information, including departure and arrival times, potential delays, and baggage claim details for certain airports, can be accessed by tapping “Preview Flight.” For best results, include the airline’s full name with the flight number. Users can also track flights via Spotlight Search on iPhone and iPad by entering the flight number, which provides an information card with all relevant details. The same functionality is available on Mac, where users can use Spotlight to access flight details, including live trajectory and more.
