Samsung has been making strides in enhancing its in-house chip technology over recent years. After facing challenges with models like the Exynos 990 and Exynos 2200, the company has taken significant steps to improve the performance of its chips used in Galaxy devices. In a strategic move, Samsung has appointed John Rayfield, a former Vice President at AMD and Intel, to lead these efforts. Rayfield, now the Senior Vice President of the Advanced Computing Lab at Samsung Austin Research Centre, brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at major tech companies. His recent achievements include spearheading the launch of AI-integrated PCs at AMD.
