Has startup funding reached $355 million this week, marking a 34% annual increase?

Startups secured approximately $355.2 million from December 13 to 19, reflecting a 33.9% increase compared to the $265.2 million raised during the same period last year. However, this week’s total was 5.3% lower than the previous week’s $375.2 million. Deal activity has slowed year-on-year, with 27 transactions recorded compared to 40 in the same week last year. MoEngage, an enterprise SaaS startup, secured an additional $180 million in its ongoing funding round, bringing the total to $280 million. This latest funding was led by ChrysCapital and Singapore’s Dragon Fund, backed by Japan’s Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group. Spacetech startup Digantara raised $50 million from 360 One Asset, Tokyo’s SBI Holdings, and UpGrad founder Ronnie Screwvala, along with existing supporters Peak XV Partners and Kalaari Capital. Electric commercial vehicle startup Qucev raised about $15 million in a round led by Singularity AMC, with participation from Lotus Family Trust and others.
