Has Qualcomm Confirmed Snapdragon for the Galaxy S27?

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors have long been integral to Samsung’s Galaxy S series, and this partnership seems set to continue with the anticipated release of the Galaxy S27 in early 2027. The American tech company recently hinted that its Snapdragon chips will power Samsung’s next flagship series.

The Galaxy S27 may feature Snapdragon chips produced with TSMC’s advanced 2nm technology, promising enhanced performance and energy efficiency. Two potential processors, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and its Pro variant, could be in the lineup. These processors might employ a 2+3+3 CPU configuration using Qualcomm’s custom Oryon cores, with the standard model featuring an Adreno 845 GPU and the Pro version an Adreno 850. Both are expected to support UFS 5.0 storage.

Samsung’s strategy for incorporating these 2nm chips remains uncertain, as the company could opt for a single chipset or a combination, depending on the model. The Galaxy S27 Ultra is likely to boast the Pro chip. Additionally, Samsung might introduce a Pro model in the S27 series, potentially utilizing the higher-end processor. Depending on the region, some models could also be equipped with Samsung’s forthcoming Exynos 2700 chip.
