Apple’s iPhone 17 series has achieved unprecedented popularity, marking a significant milestone for the company. The impressive sales figures for the second quarter of 2026 have been largely attributed to the demand for the iPhone 17 models, as noted by CFO Kevan Parekh and CEO Tim Cook. Despite the high demand, Apple faces supply chain challenges, particularly with the A19 and A19 Pro chips from TSMC, which are also used in AI chip production. Cook highlighted the limited flexibility in acquiring necessary parts, impacting the supply. Additionally, memory issues have played a growing role between the first and second quarters of 2026, which could affect the upcoming iPhone 18 lineup set for release in September. This new lineup is expected to feature Apple’s first foldable iPhone. The current iPhone 17 series includes the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 17e, and iPhone Air.
