Samsung Display has unveiled its latest OLED display technology at the SID 2026 expo, introducing a new smartphone panel that combines extreme brightness with a wide color gamut. The Flex Chroma Pixel OLED panel impresses with its ability to cover up to 96% of the BT.2020 color space while reaching brightness levels as high as 3,000 nits in High Brightness Mode. This innovation is made possible through the use of Phosphorescent Sensitized Fluorescence (PSF), a new emissive material that enhances color purity and reproduction. The panel also features Samsung’s LEAD technology, which allows for high brightness with lower power consumption by eliminating the need for a polarizer. This advancement could soon be seen in future Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series smartphones, offering users an enhanced visual experience with vibrant colors and exceptional brightness.
