Apple’s CarPlay has expanded its offerings with the addition of four popular apps: ChatGPT, Google Meet, WhatsApp, and the music streaming platform Audiomack. These apps enhance the CarPlay experience by enabling new functionalities directly from the vehicle’s dashboard screen.
With the release of iOS 26.4, CarPlay now supports voice-based conversational apps. ChatGPT is a pioneer in this category, allowing users to engage in voice conversations while driving. The app displays past conversation titles but omits text and images for safety.
Google Meet joins the lineup by offering seamless meeting access, audio call participation, and schedule viewing, although video calls remain unavailable on the interface for safety.
WhatsApp has revamped its CarPlay app, improving upon its previous version by displaying recent chats, calls, and favorite contacts, moving beyond limited Siri-based functions.
Lastly, Audiomack, a platform focused on independent music and genres like Afrobeats and hip-hop, has expanded to CarPlay. Users can explore music through Discover, Charts, Playlists, and My Library tabs, offering both streaming and downloading options.
