At the annual Google I/O event, Google is set to unveil Android 17, which it claims to be the most significant update in the history of Android. This new version will power Samsung’s One UI 9, debuting on devices like the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 in July. Despite the absence of major UI changes in the current beta, substantial enhancements are anticipated, including the introduction of agentic AI. Google will also reveal Wear OS 7, improvements to Android XR, and updates for Android TV 17, Android Auto, and Android Automotive OS.
