Apple is set to label the more personalized version of Siri as “beta” in iOS 27, indicating that the feature remains unfinished despite over two years of development. The revamped Siri is expected to retain this label in the upcoming iOS 27 developer beta and possibly in the final public release. Initially previewed in June 2024, the new Siri capabilities include personalized context understanding, on-screen awareness, and enhanced app controls. Apple’s delay in launching these features led to a class action lawsuit for false advertising, which was settled for $250 million. The features are anticipated to debut on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 later this year. The first iOS 27 developer beta is expected to be released immediately after Apple’s WWDC 2026 keynote on June 8, with a public beta in July and a final release in September.
