Why did Samsung remove Lockdown Mode from One UI 9’s power menu?

Samsung has recently made a notable adjustment to the power menu in its One UI 9.0, aimed at enhancing device security against theft. The company has decided to remove the dedicated Lockdown Mode button from the power menu. Despite this removal, users need not worry as the functionality remains intact; opening the power menu automatically activates Lockdown Mode. This occurs even if the device is unlocked at the time. To exit Lockdown Mode, users must enter their PIN or password. Furthermore, biometric authentication methods, such as fingerprint and face recognition, are disabled, necessitating the use of a PIN or password for unlocking and continued use of the device.
