How Will the 20th Anniversary iPhone Differ From the iPhone X?

In 2017, Apple marked the iPhone’s 10th anniversary with the release of the iPhone X, which was available in a single 5.8-inch size. A larger version, the iPhone XS Max, followed a year later. However, for its 20th anniversary, Apple plans to offer two distinct models right from the start. These models are expected to mirror the sizes of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, anticipated to be 6.3 and 6.9 inches, respectively. Both anniversary editions are set to feature an edge-to-edge design with curved glass and will be powered by the advanced 2-nanometer A21 chip. This approach of offering size options from the outset marks a departure from the strategy employed during the last major anniversary. The new models are slated for a fall 2027 release, alongside a second-generation foldable iPhone, with the standard iPhone 19 expected in spring 2028.
