Have detailed Galaxy S27 camera specs leaked?

Samsung is reportedly preparing a four‑model Galaxy S27 family, and early camera configuration leaks are giving a first look at sensor and stabilization choices across the flagship lineup.

Four models, four codenames
According to the leak, the next devices carry the internal codenames NM1, NM2, NM3 and NM4 — “NM” standing for “Next Miracle” — likely corresponding to the Galaxy S27, S27+, S27 Pro and S27 Ultra. The naming suggests Samsung is planning four distinct variants for the Galaxy S27 series.

Camera configurations by model
– Galaxy S27 / S27+: The standard S27 and S27+ are said to use a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12 MP ultra-wide, and an unspecified telephoto module.

– Galaxy S27 Pro: The Pro is reported to feature a 50 MP ultra-wide using a Sony IMX855 sensor (sensor size listed as 1/2.55″), a 50 MP telephoto with OIS, and a 16 MP front camera with autofocus and OIS. The leak does not specify the Pro’s primary sensor, though other reports have suggested a 200 MP main sensor for at least one model in the lineup.

– Galaxy S27 Ultra: The Ultra is said to share the 50 MP ultra-wide with the Sony IMX855, include a 50 MP telephoto with OIS and a 5x optical zoom, plus a second telephoto module identified internally by references R1 and R2. The S27 Ultra’s front camera is listed as a 16 MP unit with autofocus and OIS.

What these choices imply
OIS on multiple modules — notably the telephotos and the front cameras on the Pro and Ultra — points to potential improvements in low‑light performance and video stabilization. Repeated use of the Sony IMX855 for the ultra‑wide suggests Samsung may be standardizing some premium camera components across its high‑end models.

Gaps and caveats
The leaked details are incomplete: the telephoto specs for the S27 and S27+ are unspecified, and the Pro’s main sensor is not detailed in this report. Important elements such as image processing, software features and exact video capabilities were not mentioned.

Until Samsung confirms official specs, treat these details as provisional. Still, the leak provides an early roadmap of the company’s photographic direction for the Galaxy S27 family.
