Franklin, a Denmark-based financial platform tailored for e-commerce merchants, has successfully secured €1.6 million in seed funding. This round was led by venture firm True Collective, with contributions from notable angel investors. The company, founded in 2024, specializes in offering payment cards optimized for significant ad spending and automates bookkeeping via AI-driven receipt matching. With this new capital, Franklin aims to enhance its AI capabilities, focusing on developing agentic finance tools. The funds will also support the expansion of its engineering and commercial teams as the company ventures into new markets. Currently, Franklin’s platform facilitates automated bookkeeping and financial reconciliation for over 250 Danish businesses, with recent growth into the Dutch market. Nikolaj Bomann Mertz, CEO and co-founder, leads the company in its mission to revolutionize financial management for e-commerce.
