Samsung is moving quickly to update its Galaxy A24 smartphone. Just days after rolling out One UI 8.5, based on Android 16 QPR2, the company appears to be preparing the release of One UI 9.0, powered by Android 17, for the device. A new firmware file has emerged on Samsung’s server, indicating that testing for the Galaxy A24 is underway. The update, identified by firmware version A245FXXUCGZF4, marks a significant step towards bringing the latest Android customization to more Galaxy phones. Samsung introduced One UI 9.0 last month and has already initiated beta testing for the Galaxy S26 series. The stable version is anticipated to launch next month alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8, with a subsequent rollout to older compatible models expected soon thereafter.
