Is Samsung developing the One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy S23 FE?

Samsung has initiated the development of the One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy S23 FE, following its earlier promise of providing four major OS upgrades for the device. Originally launched with One UI 5.1 (Android 13), the Galaxy S23 FE has already received three updates and is currently operating on One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). The upcoming One UI 9.0, based on Android 17, is expected to be the final major update for this model. A firmware file indicating the development of this update has been discovered on Samsung’s server. One UI 9.0 was unveiled in May, and its beta version was released for the Galaxy S26. Samsung plans to introduce the stable version with its new foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8, later this month before extending the rollout to older models.
