What new features will the ‘MacBook Ultra’ offer?

Apple is set to unveil a high-end “MacBook Ultra” with groundbreaking features, including an OLED display and touch-screen capabilities. The anticipated laptop could be released between late 2026 and early 2027, marking Apple’s first major redesign of a high-end laptop since 2021. This new model is expected to feature a Dynamic Island display, M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, a sleeker design, and possibly built-in cellular connectivity with a next-generation modem. The OLED display promises superior image quality, while the touch-screen will allow for versatile input methods. The Dynamic Island aims to enhance the user experience with alerts and indicators, moving towards a truly edge-to-edge display. Despite a thinner design, Apple is not expected to remove essential ports, addressing past criticisms. Built-in cellular capabilities could further set the MacBook Ultra apart, offering seamless connectivity on the go.
