Samsung Notes adds Drag Handwriting for easier S Pen text moves

Samsung Notes appears to be getting a new S Pen tool called “Drag Handwriting,” found in the app’s code. Based on text strings associated with the feature, it would let users press and hold handwritten text and drag it to a new position within a note.

How Drag Handwriting works in Samsung Notes

Moving handwritten text in Samsung Notes is already possible today, but it requires the Lasso tool: you must select the Lasso, draw around an area and then drag the selected content. That workflow can be time-consuming when you frequently need to free up space or realign notes.

The Drag Handwriting tool should make changing the position or angle of handwritten text faster. It would be particularly useful for making room for extra text by bringing words closer together or reducing spacing between lines.

Samsung Notes continues to receive new features with almost every major One UI release.
