Samsung has started rolling out an update to the Galaxy Store for devices running One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). The update is 51.59MB, carries version 6.6.18.12, and introduces a major visual change to the app’s bottom navigation.
Galaxy Store redesign details
Previously, the Galaxy Store used a full-width, flat bottom bar. The new update replaces that with a shorter, floating bottom bar, aligning the app’s appearance with the design language of One UI 9.0 (Android 17) so the store will match the look of the later software when it arrives on these devices.
The update has been received on Galaxy S25, Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 units running One UI 8.5 in India, which indicates the company is rolling the change out globally. Some users reported seeing the redesigned interface weeks ago while others are only getting it now, suggesting a phased rollout.
The update may include additional changes, but the floating bottom bar is the only modification identified so far.
