Ocean Intelligence raises pre-seed to accelerate marine SaaS expansion

Ocean Intelligence, a New Zealand–based marine technology company, has closed a pre-seed funding round led by Quidnet Ventures to accelerate development of its modular marine SaaS platform and to support expansion into the Australian market. The round closed on August 13, 2026.

The funding round was led by Quidnet Ventures and included participation from angel investors Andrea Neitzer and Guido Neitzer. Classified as a pre-seed round, the newly secured capital gives the company a 24-month operating runway.

The company plans to use the funds to speed product development and to establish a presence in Australia, while continuing to serve its existing customers in New Zealand.

Ocean Intelligence product and use cases

Ocean Intelligence offers a modular software-as-a-service platform that aggregates real-time marine environmental data into a single operating picture for aquaculture and port management. The platform is designed to help marine operators detect environmental threats, including harmful algal blooms, and to monitor farm conditions remotely. It is currently used by mussel and oyster operations across New Zealand to streamline decision-making related to safety and production.
