Egypt’s 3C Coding School has closed a US$3 million seed funding round led by MRG Economic Group, with participation from investor Amr Saad and a group of strategic angel investors, the company said. The capital will be used to expand into Saudi Arabia and accelerate deployment of an AI-powered learning platform.
Co-founded in 2015 by engineers Hossam Hosny and Ahmed Khallaf, 3C Coding School is a platform focused on coding, technology and artificial intelligence education for children and youth. The company says it built a comprehensive learning ecosystem and now serves more than 120,000 students.
3C Coding School’s expansion and AI push
The startup plans to deploy the fresh capital into two strategic pillars: regional expansion—starting with Saudi Arabia—and faster rollout of an AI-driven learning platform designed to enhance its educational offering.
3C positions itself beyond traditional code instruction, emphasising higher-order skills such as structured logical reasoning, creative problem-solving and critical thinking rather than only syntax and code writing. Its curriculum includes tracks in web and mobile app development, data science, AI, machine learning, game development and cybersecurity.
