One UI 9 gives the Galaxy S25 series four Galaxy AI features — My FanCam, Now Nudge, Call Brief and custom Now Brief cards — and the same features are also supported on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 when running One UI 9. These features previously debuted on the Galaxy S26 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8.
One UI 9: what the four features do
One UI 9 adds distinct capabilities: a manual video-editing tool (My FanCam), contextual suggestions that appear when relevant (Now Nudge and Call Brief), and customizable information cards for Now Brief. Availability may depend on whether One UI 9 is still in beta for a given device or has reached a stable update.
My FanCam
My FanCam can take an existing video that contains several people and produce a cropped version that follows one selected person. To use it, open the video in the Gallery app, tap the Galaxy AI icon and choose My FanCam. The phone scans the video and highlights detected people. Select a person, pick portrait or landscape orientation and an aspect ratio, then tap Follow; Galaxy AI will create the tracking video. If the feature cannot detect anyone, move the playhead with the seek bar to another moment where people are more clearly visible and try again.
Custom cards for Now Brief
Now Brief can show personalized cards throughout the day, and One UI 9 lets you create up to three custom cards. Available categories are weather, health and videos; you can choose a suggested option from Samsung or write a prompt describing what you want the card to contain. For example, a health card can display your Energy Score, step count or running activity for the week. You can set the days and times when the card appears, preview the generated card, then save, edit or delete it. Samsung limits how many times you can generate or edit custom cards each day; if you hit that limit you must wait until the next day to make more changes.
Now Nudge
Now Nudge monitors what’s on the screen and, via the Samsung Keyboard, recommends actions that may be useful in the moment. Examples include suggesting relevant photos from the Gallery when someone asks for trip pictures, or checking your calendar to flag a scheduling conflict mentioned in a message. Now Nudge offers shortcuts to reduce steps but does not perform actions automatically; it presents suggestions you can accept or ignore.
Call Brief
Call Brief, part of Galaxy AI’s Call Assist suite, displays contextual information on the call screen when it finds details relevant to the person you are calling. It does not appear on every call and Samsung has not published an exhaustive list of what it can show. Confirmed capabilities include finding a Calendar event and displaying it as a shared event, and showing another person’s location and local time when calling an international number. Call Brief is disabled by default; enable it at Settings > Galaxy AI > Call assist > Call brief, and ensure Personal Data Intelligence is also enabled. Call Brief is not available on the Galaxy S25 FE.
These four additions cover different use cases: My FanCam is a manually activated editing tool, Now Nudge and Call Brief surface contextual suggestions when relevant, and custom Now Brief cards let you decide what information appears and when. You may not use every feature constantly, but each can save time or effort in the right situation.
