Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Buds On have leaked in realistic renders, revealing an open-ear, loop-style design and several hardware and software details ahead of launch. The images and code strings suggest Samsung is preparing one of two distinct new earbud types, with the Buds On positioned as a loop-around, pressure-free alternative to in-ear silicone tips.
Galaxy Buds On design and build
A leaked render shows the Buds On in Black (and reportedly White at launch), with a loop that wraps around the outer ear rather than inserting into the ear canal. The design includes pogo pin connectors for charging and a flat outer surface intended for touch controls. The speaker section is rounded, which the leak describes as improving ergonomics for open-ear wearers. The black variant was shared by SammyGuru and tipster ThatJoshGuy (@thatjoshguy69).
Galaxy Buds On features and software
Code strings in the Galaxy Wearable app indicate the Buds On will support head gestures first introduced with the Galaxy Buds 4 series. The leaked details also point to utility features such as Auto Volume and Volume Boost. However, the Buds On appear to lack active noise cancellation (ANC) and 360 Audio. The earbuds are reported to support both Bixby and Google Gemini.
