Samsung appears to have pushed back the wider rollout of One UI 9 for the Galaxy S26 series: the update may not start reaching devices outside Korea until September 28, a week later than initially expected.
The update began rolling out in Korea on September 16. A Samsung Thailand press release had said the Galaxy S26 series would receive One UI 9 in Thailand on September 21, implying an expansion beyond Korea on that date.
One UI 9 rollout timeline and changes
September 21 passed without the wider release, and Samsung Thailand has since revised the S26 date to September 28. That is the same date the press release already listed for the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7, putting the S26 series on the same schedule as those 2025 flagships.
The more than week-long gap between the Korean release and the wider rollout is uncharacteristically long for a major One UI update, which suggests Samsung may have discovered issues with the initial release. Samsung has not confirmed a delay, and the revised date may apply only to Thailand. It remains unclear whether Samsung will provide further explanation or adjust the rollout schedule for the Galaxy S25 series and other older devices.
