Have Galaxy S26 sales in Korea surpassed the Galaxy S25’s pace?

Samsung has achieved a significant milestone by selling over 3 million Galaxy S26 series phones in South Korea within just three months. Launched in March, the high-end Galaxy S26 series is outpacing its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 series, in terms of sales speed. The Galaxy S26 has become the fastest-selling Galaxy S lineup in South Korea, with approximately 70% of pre-orders for the premium Galaxy S26 Ultra model. The series is performing exceptionally well in both South Korea and the US.

In contrast, the Galaxy S25 series took about six months to reach the 3 million sales mark in South Korea, having launched in early February 2025 and achieving this milestone by early August of the same year. Analysts credit the Galaxy S26’s strong performance to features like the Privacy Display and enhanced Galaxy AI experience, along with competitive pricing. Positioned as Samsung’s third-generation AI smartphone lineup, the Galaxy S26 series offers more on-device AI features, reducing reliance on cloud processing.

While the Galaxy S26 series has experienced a robust start, experts are monitoring its ability to maintain sales momentum. Meanwhile, Samsung is gearing up to launch its latest foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, set to be unveiled on July 22 and available for sale from August 5.
