On October 6, 2026, Samsung began rolling out the One UI 9 update for the Galaxy S25 FE, adding Quick Share support that lets the phone send files to Apple devices using AirDrop (via Tarun Vats on X). This update enables direct file transfers to iPhones, iPads and Macs without installing a third-party app.
Samsung’s implementation lets users select a nearby iPhone from the Quick Share menu and send files directly; the receiving Apple device handles the transfer through AirDrop, so no cloud service or extra application is required.
How Galaxy S25 FE uses Quick Share with AirDrop
A few conditions must be met for transfers to work: the receiving iPhone must have AirDrop enabled and be set to allow transfers from everyone, and both devices need Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth enabled for nearby sharing. The feature should be useful for people who switch between a Galaxy phone and an iPhone, since Quick Share avoids messaging apps that may compress photos and other files.
The Quick Share–to–AirDrop capability is not entirely new across Samsung’s lineup, but its availability on the Galaxy S25 FE is noteworthy. One UI 9 is being released in waves by region, carrier and model, and One UI 9.5 has not been released to anyone yet. If you own a Galaxy S25 FE and have received the One UI 9 update, check Quick Share to see whether the AirDrop option is available.
