HomePod mini: Apple to unveil new model on October 13

Apple is reportedly set to unveil a new HomePod mini during its “Welcome home” product launch scheduled for Tuesday, October 13.

HomePod mini: rumored features

The second-generation HomePod mini is said to include a newer chip that enables Siri AI support, at least when paired with a nearby iPhone. Reports also point to improved sound quality, Apple’s N1 chip with Wi‑Fi 7 support, a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, and new color options including pink and green. No major design changes are expected.

Timing and price

The original HomePod mini debuted on October 13, 2020, making this launch a six-year wait for a new model. In June, the HomePod mini received a U.S. price increase and now costs $129, up from $99.
