watchOS 27.2: Apple Seeds Updated Release Candidate

Apple today seeded an updated watchOS 27.2 release candidate, four days after the first RC became available. Registered developers and public beta testers can download the software through the Apple Watch Settings app on the watch or using the Apple Watch app on iPhone.

watchOS 27.2 Siri AI enhancements

This release introduces expanded Siri AI capabilities on the Apple Watch, including the ability to retain useful context from previous Siri interactions so you can follow up on earlier exchanges, for example asking about restaurants Siri recommended last week. Siri AI in this update can draw from a wider range of personal context to improve answers, including photos attached in Messages, Calendar event attendees, voicemails, and improved results from Safari history and Reading List on your phone. The update also adds an Excluded Apps setting that lets you choose which apps Siri, Search, and suggestions can access from one location on your phone, and it delivers faster Siri responses on Apple Watch. Siri AI support is extended to more languages, with French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish added, and Siri AI is not available in the EU or mainland China.

The watchOS 27.2 release candidate also includes other features, bug fixes, and security updates for Apple Watch. watchOS 27.2 and related 27.2 updates are expected to launch next week.
