Galaxy Z Fold 8 Sees 300% Surge in Google Searches

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 has seen a 300% increase in active Google searches for Samsung foldables over the past month, Samsung UK Corporate Vice President Chang said, adding that “Customer demand for the Galaxy Z Fold8 family has increased 16% since launch, and with a 300% increase in active Google searches for Samsung foldables in the last month alone, our market leadership is stronger than ever.” Samsung’s first smartphone with a 4:3 foldable display, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 has experienced immense global demand, reportedly breaking multiple sales records and leaving the company struggling to keep up.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 demand and search surge

The 300% jump in search interest coincided with Apple’s launch of its first foldable smartphone, the iPhone Duo. It is possible that Apple’s entry into the segment sparked greater interest in foldable phones overall, with some of that interest extending to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 as consumers explore alternatives to Apple’s offering.

The increased interest could translate into higher sales, potentially boosting Samsung’s revenue and profits. The company’s financial reports for the third and fourth quarters should give a clearer picture of how the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is performing commercially.
