Samsung Health makes Sleep Coaching easier to start

Samsung Health now requires just three days of sleep data within the past two weeks to begin Sleep Coaching, down from the previous requirement of seven days of data within a month. The change aims to let users access personalized sleep guidance sooner.

Samsung Health Sleep Coaching setup and what changes

To set up Sleep Coaching users complete a survey covering sleep regularity, interruptions, alcohol and caffeine intake, and subjective sleep scores. Samsung Health combines the survey responses with the three days of sleep data to assign a personalized Sleep Animal symbol and to build a tailored four- to eight-week coaching program based on individual goals.

The coaching program dynamically adapts and refines recommendations as more sleep data becomes available, and a new pentagon-shaped Sleep Balance graph brings together five important aspects of sleep indicators, sleep time, regularity, awake time during the night, sleep satisfaction, and Energy Score.

Running Coach updates and Strava route import

Samsung has also improved Running Coach by expanding training tiers from 10 to 12 levels and by allowing workout data to be exported in share-ready templates for leading social media platforms. In addition, a partnership with Strava lets Samsung Health users import Strava Routes for running, trail running, and cycling directly into Samsung Health.
