New Siri Remote costs $59 and works with Apple TV models since 2015

Apple’s fourth-generation Siri Remote, unveiled today, is available to order from Apple’s online store with U.S. pricing set at $59 and delivery scheduled for November 13. Apple says the remote is compatible with all Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K models released since 2015.

Siri Remote compatibility and availability

The company lists compatibility with the following models:
Apple TV 4K (4th generation)
Apple TV 4K (3rd generation)
Apple TV 4K (2nd generation)
Apple TV 4K (1st generation)
Apple TV HD

Find My, Precision Finding and hardware details

The key change in this fourth-generation Siri Remote is full support for the Find My app and Precision Finding, which lets you locate the remote by following on-screen directional arrows on a compatible iPhone. The remote also includes a speaker that can play a sound to help you find it.

Apple states that Precision Finding support for the new Siri Remote requires an iPhone Duo, iPhone Air, or an iPhone 17 or later (excluding the iPhone 17e). Aside from these additions, the remote retains the same overall design, buttons, and a USB-C charging port.
