Utilizing proprietary AI, the platform personalizes the sampling process by analyzing real transactional data, seamlessly adding free products to grocery orders for pickup or delivery. This approach allows brands to measure future purchase behaviors, providing closed-loop results for their trial investments while eliminating traditional sampling costs and inefficiencies.
Adam Stave, CEO and co-founder of Swish, emphasized the importance for brands to convert product trials into purchases, highlighting the limitations of traditional demos and digital media. Swish positions the product itself as media, directly placing it into consumers’ baskets at optimal times. The funding was spearheaded by BD Ventures, known for its investments in consumer brands and enabling technologies, with notable figures like Jonathan Opdyke and Roger Ehrenberg leading the charge.
The investment round also attracted prominent figures in retail media and CPG technology innovation, including Jordan Berke, Scott Friend, Anil Aggarwal, Mathieu Azorin, and Al Muzaurieta, among others. Swish’s innovative approach has already shown promising results in early pilots with retailers like Stater Brothers, demonstrating increased household penetration, category adoption, and customer loyalty. The company aims to scale its operations to major retailers, positioning merchandise as a powerful new form of media that enhances retail media algorithms and fosters long-term customer loyalty.
