At a recent automotive cybersecurity policy seminar in Seoul, Fescaro highlighted the growing cybersecurity challenges facing the automotive industry due to advances in artificial intelligence. The event, organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport alongside the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, focused on enhancing understanding of South Korea’s automotive cybersecurity certification system and exploring new security strategies. Fescaro’s CEO, Hong Seok-min, discussed the increasing risks posed by generative AI, particularly in terms of vulnerability analysis and automated attacks. He emphasized the need for expanded cybersecurity measures as vehicles become more connected to external services. Fescaro is pursuing an AI transformation strategy to enhance its cybersecurity processes and plans to integrate AI across its engineering workflow, aligning with international cybersecurity standards.
