Apple is reportedly preparing new Apple TV and HomePod mini models that are “almost ready” for an autumn launch, featuring faster processors capable of supporting Siri AI, according to a recent report. The timeline points to a likely release in September or October.
What we know about the timeline and Siri AI
The report says both devices are expected this fall, coinciding with the public rollout of Siri AI via upcoming system updates. Siri AI is already available in the developer and public betas for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and visionOS, and its general release is anticipated in September.
Performance and expected components
On the performance side, the new Apple TV and HomePod mini are said to include more powerful chips to enable voice‑AI features. Earlier rumors about the Apple TV mention an A17 Pro — cited as the oldest generation compatible with Apple Intelligence — along with an N1 chip providing Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread support. For the HomePod mini, the report points to a watch‑derived chip (S9 or newer), possible N1 support, an updated Ultra Wideband chip and audio improvements.
Design, remote and hardware changes
No major design overhaul is expected for either product, according to the report. The Apple TV may, however, ship with an updated Siri Remote. For the HomePod mini, a red color option has already been suggested in rumors.
