Are Samsung and Sony teaming up to track Spider-Man in Brand New Day?

Samsung has officially announced its collaboration with Sony Pictures for the upcoming Spider-Man film, “Brand New Day,” set to hit theaters on July 31. The film prominently features Samsung’s Galaxy devices, with Peter Parker using a Galaxy Z Flip 7 and his tech-savvy friend Ned Leeds utilizing a Galaxy Z Fold 7 and a Galaxy Watch. This partnership extends beyond the film with the launch of the Spidey Tracker, a fan-powered website inspired by a plot point in the movie. The Spidey Tracker, powered by Samsung Galaxy, will be available in 35 countries and offers fans the opportunity to track Spider-Man’s whereabouts in real-time. The campaign includes cast appearances, live events, and hidden easter eggs. The initiative is a strategic move for Samsung, as the first trailer for “Brand New Day” broke records with over a billion views. The film is anticipated to be a major Marvel Cinematic Universe event, featuring a rumored confrontation between Spider-Man and the Hulk, along with appearances by the Punisher and potentially Jean Grey, marking her MCU debut.
