What are Samsung’s next-gen foldables and smartwatches?

Samsung’s upcoming foldable phones and smartwatches have recently appeared in the US Federal Communications Commission’s certification records, suggesting they are nearing a commercial launch. The devices include the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and various models of the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to carry the model number SM-F776U, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is anticipated to be SM-F976U. The Galaxy Watch 9 is likely represented by SM-L340 and SM-L345 for the 40mm versions, and SM-L350 and SM-L355 for the 44mm versions, both in Wi-Fi and cellular models. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 cellular variant is expected to be SM-L715. These filings indicate that Samsung’s launch timeline is on track. However, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide and the Galaxy Watch 9 Classic have not yet appeared in the records, casting some doubt on their immediate availability in the US. More details are expected at Samsung’s Unpacked event on July 22 in London.
