Samsung has been suggesting since 2023 that its Galaxy Watch series could soon feature Micro LED displays. While this upgrade hasn’t yet materialized, it seems increasingly likely. Reports from South Korea indicate that Samsung is setting up a new facility dedicated to producing these advanced displays for its smartwatches. The company plans to start mass production next year, contingent upon successful test production and sufficient demand. Equipment installation at the Asan facility in Chungcheongnam-do is scheduled for this year, and if everything proceeds smoothly, Samsung could roll out Micro LED displays with the Galaxy Watch 10 series in the latter half of next year.
