Biren Technology forecasts up to 2,107% H1 revenue surge

Biren Technology projects that revenue for the first six months of 2026 could reach between 1.15 billion yuan (US$170.5 million) and 1.3 billion yuan, representing year-on-year growth of 1,852% to 2,107%, the Shanghai-based GPU maker said in a Hong Kong stock exchange filing on Monday. It also projected that its net loss would narrow to between 320 million yuan and 400 million yuan, compared with a loss of 1.6 billion yuan in the same period in 2025.

Biren Technology projections and drivers

The company, which debuted on the Hong Kong stock exchange in January, attributed the revenue surge to accelerating commercialisation and strong market demand for general-purpose GPUs, processors used in AI applications that handle complex tasks including coding and agent software.

Biren noted that the massive year-on-year increase was amplified by the relatively low financial baseline in the first half of 2025 and by the concentration of high-end product deliveries in the second half of that year.

The projection places Biren alongside industry peers such as Hygon Information Technology and Cambricon Technologies in reporting accelerating demand for home-grown chips.
