Apple updated Apple Creator Studio and Final Cut Camera for iOS today, adding a range of professional filming and creative features across its apps.
Final Cut Camera updates
Final Cut Camera, Apple’s professional iPhone filming app, now supports the variable aperture feature on the iPhone 18 Pro, with the ability to tweak aperture and choose between aperture priority and shutter priority modes. The app also adds support for Cinematic mode effects for video and has been redesigned to surface pro settings such as shutter angle, ISO and white balance.
New customizable overlays include false color and clipping indicators for exposure; focus peaking gains sensitivity control. A tally light activates during recording, and a two-finger tap gesture clears the viewfinder. The update also brings support for professional video scopes, clean SDI out and genlock offset.
Final Cut Pro and Motion on Mac gain an option to add Cinematic mode effects to footage captured on the iPhone 18 Pro, allowing adjustment of focus points and depth of field directly in the Final Cut Pro timeline. Compressor can convert video with Cinematic mode effects back into the previous Cinematic mode format and includes new HEVC and MPEG–4 export presets.
Updates to Pages, Numbers and Keynote
Pages, Numbers and Keynote receive new templates and themes and improved collaboration tools. Keynote adds intelligent slide generation. Numbers gains trigonometry, statistics and logic functions for more complex spreadsheet work. Pages for Mac introduces a Screen View that optimizes content for reading and writing.
Pixelmator Pro and Freeform enhancements
Pixelmator Pro for iPad and Mac adds new template collections for launching ideas, businesses or products, and a Podcasts category with cover artwork options. The iPad app adopts Select and Mask from the Mac app for more precise mask and selection refinements.
Freeform adds automatic Dark Mode support for boards, folders for better organization and Writing Tools. With Writing Tools, Apple Intelligence can rewrite, proofread and summarize handwritten notes. In visionOS 27, the Vision Pro version of Freeform lets users pull multiple items from a board into their space, and multiple users can view 3D models together as a group.
All of the updates are available today. Apple Creator Studio is priced at $12.99 per month and provides access to Apple’s creative apps, including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro and Pixelmator Pro; it also unlocks premium features in free apps such as Numbers, Pages and Keynote that are not available in their free versions.
