Samsung has introduced a more affordable Galaxy Book 6 variant in the US, priced from $799, positioning the laptop as a rival to Apple’s MacBook Neo. The new model is $100 pricier than the MacBook Neo and $450 cheaper than a Galaxy Book 6 that launched a few months earlier.

The laptop features a 14‑inch LCD panel with WUXGA resolution (1,920 x 1,200), a 60Hz refresh rate, 350 nits of brightness and an anti‑glare coating intended to improve legibility around bright light sources. Configurations offer either 8GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM paired with 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage. Samsung ships the machine with Windows 11 Home or Windows 11 Pro.
Under the hood, the base model uses an Intel Core 3 processor while higher tiers use an Intel Core 5. Both chips use integrated Intel graphics and include a built‑in NPU rated up to 15 TOPS of AI performance; by comparison, the A18 Pro chip in the MacBook Neo is rated at 35 TOPS.

Unlike the MacBook Neo’s minimalist layout of two USB Type‑C ports and a 3.5mm jack, the Galaxy Book 6 includes two USB Type‑C ports, one USB Type‑A port, an HDMI port and a 3.5mm headphone jack, allowing charging while connected to an external monitor and other peripherals without a dongle.
