Leaks indicate the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra, said to launch in 2027, will receive a major design overhaul and hardware upgrades, including a quad‑squared rear camera module, a larger 5,700mAh Silicon-Carbon (Si-C) battery, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro for Galaxy processor.
Galaxy S27 Ultra: design and camera changes
Fresh leaks from Samsung phone tipster Anthony (TheGalox) on X include a render that shows the S27 Ultra ditching the previous pill-shaped vertical camera array in favour of individually housed cameras placed over a larger black square module. The device is reported to retain Galaxy S Pen support.
According to the leaks, the camera system will keep a 200MP main sensor and add a new 50MP ultrawide sensor, possibly with a larger aperture, plus a 50MP 5X telephoto and a second telephoto sensor.
The S27 Ultra is also said to feature a bigger 5,700mAh Silicon-Carbon (Si-C) battery and to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro for Galaxy processor.
Leaks further suggest that, after a period of relatively modest year-to-year changes for the Galaxy S line, the 2027 S27 models will mark a more notable update. The reports do not provide a specific release date beyond the 2027 timeframe.
