Gokin Solar Expands BC Module Range with GBC 2.1 Series

Gokin Solar has expanded its BC module portfolio with its GBC 2.1 series, introducing residential and commercial modules that combine high power ratings with different cell and glass configurations. The company is promoting the residential GK-3-54HGFDb, a 505 W, all-black module with a conversion efficiency of 24.5%; it is built from 108 half-cells in a dual-glass configuration and measures 1,800 × 1,134 × 30 mm.

For commercial and industrial (C&I) applications, Gokin offers the GK-3-72HGF based on the same GBC 2.1 series. That module delivers a maximum power output of 675 W, uses 144 half-cells in a single-glass configuration, and measures 2,382 × 1,134 × 30 mm.

Utility module, availability and warranties

For utility-scale projects, Gokin supplies the GK-4-66HGBD, which shares similar dimensions with the C&I module (2,382 × 1,134 × 30 mm) but has a lower maximum power rating of 660 W. That lower power reflects its 132 half-cell layout and its basis on Gokin’s GBC 2.0 series; the module does not benefit from additional active area associated with 0BB and hidden busbar designs. Meng said that the module will be commercially available in H2 2026.

For products using the 108 half-cell layout, Gokin offers a 25-year product warranty and a 30-year performance warranty.
