Crash Override, a pioneering company in Engineering Relationship Management (ERM), has successfully raised $28 million in a seed funding round. The funding, led by GV (Google Ventures) and SYN Ventures, with contributions from Blackstone Innovations Investments and Bessemer Venture Partners, will support the launch of Crash Override’s innovative platform. This new technology aims to provide comprehensive visibility and traceability across engineering teams, addressing the complexities introduced by AI-generated code. Founders John Viega and Mark Curphey, both seasoned security experts, are at the helm of this venture. The ERM platform promises to streamline software delivery by offering a real-time change ledger and a single source of truth for code, infrastructure, and team interactions. This initiative is set to transform how organizations manage and secure their software supply chains, with the support of notable industry partners and the addition of board members Erik Nordlander from GV and Jay Leek from SYN Ventures.
