How is Crash Override revolutionizing engineering management with a $28 million seed round?

Crash Override has announced a $28 million seed funding round led by GV and SYN Ventures, with contributions from Blackstone Innovations Investments and Bessemer Venture Partners. This funding will support the launch of the first Engineering Relationship Management (ERM) platform, designed to enhance visibility and control across software infrastructure, code, tools, and contributors. ERM aims to address the complexities of modern software environments by offering a single source of truth, enabling fast recovery from incidents and building resilience in software delivery. The platform’s unique build inspection technology provides real-time traceability of changes, helping leaders understand modifications and their impact. Founders John Viega and Mark Curphey, both veterans in the security industry, are spearheading this initiative to bring essential transparency to the software deployment lifecycle. The funding will accelerate product development, innovation, and market expansion, while Blackstone’s contribution of the Ocular codebase will enhance the platform’s AI code analysis capabilities.
