Harmony, the new startup founded by Nitzan Shapira and Ran Ribenzaft, has closed a $34 million seed round to deploy AI agents directly inside Slack and Microsoft Teams. The two founders, who previously built Epsagon — reportedly sold to Cisco for about $500 million — are now targeting automation of internal requests: IT, HR, procurement, finance, legal, application access and password resets, in the channels where employees already communicate.
A sizable seed round and notable backers
The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and includes Hitachi Ventures, Fin Capital, Mercer Ventures, Operator Partners, the founding team of Wiz and Ofir Ehrlich. Assaf Rappaport’s participation is notable: the former Wiz team has become a benchmark for investors in the security vendor space, and his involvement signals that the founders’ reputations carried weight in the investment decision. Lightspeed, which backed the founders’ prior venture, is another vote of confidence.
A Slack- and Teams-first approach
Harmony positions its product as an agent that can “resolve” requests rather than simply respond to them. At the technical core is what the company describes as an “organizational context graph”: the agent combines identity, role, permissions, device and work history to decide on a concrete action. The goal is to remove the friction of opening another portal by meeting users where they already communicate.
