Has The Clearing Company launched with a $15M seed round?

The Clearing Company has successfully secured $15 million in a seed funding round, spearheaded by Union Square Ventures. This financial boost also saw contributions from Haun Ventures, Variant, Coinbase Ventures, and several other investors. The startup, co-founded by Toni Gemayel, is focused on developing an on-chain, permissionless prediction market platform that adheres to regulatory standards while remaining user-friendly for retail investors. The newly acquired funds will be directed towards accelerating the platform’s development, although a launch date has yet to be announced. Emphasizing the historical significance of prediction markets, the company envisions a future where these markets, powered by the internet’s collective creativity, offer straightforward and imaginative solutions rather than relying on complex financial mechanisms.
