Samsung is gearing up to release its next flagship mobile chipset, the Exynos 2600, anticipated to power the Galaxy S26 series. Recent benchmarks have surfaced, indicating that the Exynos 2600 significantly outperforms its predecessor, the Exynos 2500, as well as last year’s Snapdragon 8 Elite from Qualcomm. Although initially it seemed the Exynos 2600 might not match the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, new benchmarks suggest otherwise. The Exynos 2600 not only appears to surpass the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in power but also rivals the single-core CPU performance of Apple’s latest M5 chipset, used in tablets and laptops. The Exynos 2600 reportedly achieved scores of 4,217 in single-core and 13,482 in multi-core tests, compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5’s 3,800 and 12,100, respectively. Meanwhile, Apple’s M5 scores approximately 4,200 in single-core and 17,800 in multi-core tests.
