The upcoming iPhone 18 Pro from Apple is rumored to have slightly increased battery capacities compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 17 Pro. Reports suggest that Apple is testing different battery sizes for the China and U.S. models. The Chinese version may feature a 4,056 mAh battery, while the U.S. version could have a 4,288 mAh battery, thanks to the absence of a SIM card tray in the U.S. models, allowing for more internal space. This results in a modest increase of 68 mAh for the China model and 36 mAh for the U.S. version. Additionally, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to have a battery capacity in the 5,000 mAh range. While these figures are not confirmed, the new A20 Pro chip and Apple’s C2 modem are anticipated to enhance power efficiency, potentially improving battery life. The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are slated for a September release, with features like a smaller Dynamic Island, simplified Camera Control, and an upgraded main camera with a variable aperture.
