HomeView Not Available in EU at Launch, Apple Says

Apple’s new HomeView smart home hub will not be available in the European Union at launch, the company said, citing the current unavailability of Siri AI on iOS in the region.

Apple said it is “working constructively with the EU in an attempt to find a path forward,” but provided no timeline for EU availability.

The device costs $299 in the U.S. and is scheduled to launch on November 13 in eight countries around the world.

HomeView dependency on Siri AI

Apple tied the decision directly to Siri AI’s current absence on iOS in the EU; the company offered no timetable for when HomeView might become available in the region.
