A London-based startup has secured $2 million in seed funding to develop an AI-powered tutoring platform. The company, which connects students with university tutors, plans to use the funds to create Edu AI, a tool designed to mimic real teaching experiences with features like whiteboards and visual AI analyses to interpret students’ body language. The investment round was led by Magna Investments from Abu Dhabi and included angel investors. The startup also aims to enhance its current tutoring platform, which has delivered 100,000 lessons globally.
In another development, a fundraising platform for private and faith-based K-12 schools has raised $10 million. Boost My School, designed to simplify donations and manage fundraising efforts, received backing from High Alpha, along with previous investors. The company’s founder, Holman Gao, was inspired to create the platform after encountering difficulties in fundraising for his former high school. With the new funding, Boost My School plans to expand its team and further develop its platform, aiming to streamline fundraising for independent schools and ensure their long-term success.
